SPRING 2023 EDITION

Los Angeles Academy of Film Awards (LAAFA) is an organization focused on bringing Independent films from around the world a venue to show filmmakers’ shorts and feature films to an audience in the center of the Entertainment Industry.  LAAFA is a quarterly festivals with  LIVE screenings, for selected winners from each quarter, held in North Hollywood, California.  All filmmakers who entered are welcome to join us at the LIVE screening.

 

LAAFA accepts films of all genres from International filmmakers. All films submitted by the quarterly deadline will be reviewed an unbiased panel of industry professionals.  The selection process will include:

 

*Round One: Selecting films in each category and deciding if it will advance to next round.

*Round Two: Selecting films in each category and deciding if it will be an “Official Selection” or “Not Accepted.”

*Final Round: Decision of Winners in each category

 

Winners of each quarterly event will be selected to screen at LIVE event where the Outstanding Feature (BEST PICTURE) from all genres will be decided.
